Religion Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe traditional religion has a firm rooted in the monotheistic belief in a Supreme Creator. Today, however, this belief has been incorporated in a part Christian and part traditional. This faith is blended, followed by at least fifty percent of the population

Muslim Rules

This conviction finds its highest expression in the Great Zimbabwe, where the centralization of religious authority, and in the hills of Matobo, where he became known as there Matonjeni Mwaro, "God of Matobo" and was of the Ndebele, whose admiration for acceptance Matobo is holy.

Evangelists then sent followed by the Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa, and the Jesuits opened a mission near the kraal Lobengula in 1880. The Anglican Church opened in 1890 missions, such as the Methodists, and a host of otherDenominations.

The missionaries built schools that offer agricultural education and medical care provided. But it was some time before they could be priests of Zimbabwe, and eventually take over most of the social and educational activities of the missionary institutes.

Many new religions of Africa are found in Zimbabwe. The most important is the Zionist or Apostolic Church, a sort of revival depends on a charismatic leader.
