Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh seem like such an opinion in most of their reporting on Islam and Muslims to express.
Ethnic andreligious diversity is the essence of what makes us Americans. In our society, with its broad spectrum of religious groups, ethnic and national level, we accept all good ideas immediately. Bad ideas can be quickly rejected by the majority, and soon disappear, although it seems a very long time. What makes America strong. But there are those among us, after all, would transform the heritage. We need for them to understand the flaw in their logic.
Some people say that I am aIslamic apologists. This is far from the truth! Many things have to change in the Muslim world. We are grappling with similar problems in American society. We are not able to identify Muslims for criticism, if we did not set the rest of the house in order. We must all work together to fight for women's rights in Islam and the West.
Beck andLimbaugh, and much of the rest of the media are doing us a favor, always insist on the tragic terrorist attacks of our recent past. Yes, they were terrible, and killed thousands of people. But where is the outrage over the tens of thousands of people to die on our roads every year, because they do not adequately control drunkenness at the wheel? Only a couple of drunk drivers are Muslims!
We need to rethink what is in our interest as a country. Beck and Limbaugh have the megaphonefor a long time, and I think his expression make opinions about Islam and Muslims do us harm than good. It 's time for the rest of us to stand up and say enough is enough.
